Meet Doris, a master-certified lash artist trained under Dreamlash founder Angela May, working from a baby-friendly home studio in Willow Park, Calgary.
I started out as a banker. I gave up climbing the corporate ladder after my first pregnancy — going through all the after-effects, physical and emotional, I found I needed to do something where I felt good about myself for once. It was the start of feeling confident again as a daughter, a mother and a wife, and now I get to do the same thing for other people.
I trained IN PERSON, under the best in lash artistry. No online videos, no weekend certificate. I was one of the lucky few to work under Angela May, the founder of Dreamlash, and I am a master-certified eyelash artist.
I value time. As a mother of two, I cannot stress that enough. Some artists think nothing of taking two or three hours for a full set. I don't. A full set, customized to you, generally takes me an hour.
And I love babies. Gone are the days when you feel you can no longer go to a spa because you have one. I felt that way too, which is why I fell in love with home spas. Bring your rugrat along to my baby-friendly home studio in Willow Park — you never have to give up the spa to keep your little one with you. (Furry friends I can't accommodate yet.)
You will also always get me. No new face at every appointment, no high turnover of a big salon. I look forward to seeing the same clients over and over and over again.
